GER, Berlin, nov 12th, 2008. ---- Pupils´ protest: demonstration at the "Rotes Rathaus" in the center of Berlin. At the 12th of november over 5.000 school children took part in a demonstration against shortages in the education system: they demand a total cost-free education (including cost-free schoolbooks and studies without tuition fees), more teachers, protest against social selection in education thereby also against the german three-level-school system and they strongly critisize the 12-years-"turbo-abitur" which in their eyes leads to a stress-full, economically "effective" education wth a high loss of quality. At this day demonstrations in over 30 cities have been organized. According to ddp, around 100.000 school children in whole Germany have taken part in them.
